A walker's guide to the cliff path
Eleven kilometres of headland, cove and pine forest, and where to stop for a swim along the way.

Words by Tomás Reis, estate guide
The path leaves the estate by the lighthouse gate and follows the cliff north for eleven kilometres. You can walk it in three hours; we'd suggest taking the day.
The first cove
Forty minutes in, a stair cut into the rock leads down to a pebble cove. At low tide there is a pool deep enough to swim in, warmed by the stone.

What to bring
- Shoes with grip: the limestone is polished by the sea
- Water and the picnic the kitchen packs for you
- A swimsuit, whatever the weather says
