Why we swim in cold water
The spa's morning ritual, from a dawn swim in the cove to the wood-fired sauna on the rocks.

Words by Clara Noronha, spa director
At half past six a small group walks down to the cove. The water is fourteen degrees in April. Nobody stays in long, and nobody regrets it.
Heat, then cold, then rest
Afterwards the sauna on the rocks is already hot. Ten minutes in, a plunge, ten minutes in the sun. We repeat it three times and then go to breakfast.
