The keepers stored their oil and wicks here. We kept the iron hooks in the beams and the habit of lighting a lamp at dusk.
The Lantern Suite takes the whole upper floor of the old store beside the lighthouse. A day bed under the eaves makes room for a child or a long afternoon's reading.
At dusk someone from the house comes by to light the lamps. It takes two minutes and it is, guests tell us, the moment they remember.
